Francis Kamahele is the founding and senior pastor of Horizon Christian Fellowship Honolulu. He was born and raised on the island of Oahu.

A recording artist who started singing at the age of ten, Francis studied vocal production for 17 years and has sung at such places as the Sydney Opera House in Australia and the Munich Art Museum in Germany. He's acted in theater productions and has appeared on “Hawaii Five-O", Sanford & Son", and the “Mike Douglas Show". He also headlined his own show in Waikiki and then moved to Maui where he sang and headlined the Polynesian Review, “Drums of the Pacific” at the Hyatt Regency.

In 1983, Francis gave his life to Jesus Christ while living on Maui. In 1986, he married Patty and a year later, God's call upon his life moved them to San Diego, California where he became an intern and then an associate pastor at Horizon Christian Fellowship on the staff of Mike MacIntosh. Francis has had the privilege of ministering literally across the world preaching and singing in such countries as the Philippines, Romania, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, India, Scotland, Mexico, Guam, Samoa and others. He has also sang and emceed at Promise Keepers events, the Festival of Life with Mike MacIntosh, and Harvest Crusades with Greg Laurie.

In 1988, Francis was ordained and became an associate pastor at Horizon San Diego. In 1990, he and Patty moved back to Oahu to begin ministry there and in 1991, Horizon Christian Fellowship Honolulu was born where his gift of preaching and teaching encourages all who attend.

Sons, Adam and Matt, granddaughter, Tahtiana, and grandson, La'akea bring much joy to their lives!
